Nightlife in New York is still in hibernation mode for the most part, but no matter
how many large dance spaces shut down, Alegria always manages to adapt and
keep pumping out its legendary events. Their Memorial Day weekend party is
widely anticipated, and this year they celebrate the opening of the season with

Started in 1991 as a single day when GLBT park visitors wore red for visibility,
this gay day has blossomed into a week-long celebration of park events, cocktail
parties, and main events for both gays and lesbians. If there is any part of you
that still has a glint of Disney love left in you, this is a must. Let’s face it, the
most annoying part about Disney has always been the screaming children;
this is one time when you can rest assured that most of them will stay away
while you recapture your innocence, and then quickly lose it again at night.
The big late-night dance parties at Disney are now all reborn and produced by

formed to commemorate the occasion every year. Almost half a million proud
