Not even an historic act of God can keep a great party city like New Orleans
down. Fat Tuesday rages on, and this notoriously raunchy and wild celebration
has been a siren song for the gay community since the 1950s, when the Krewe
of Yuga (or KY, naturally) formed to both satirize the straight Krewe that shut
them out and open the city up to legions of gay visitors. The city hasn't been
the same since. The desire of the Circuit community to give back to charitable
organizations is even more important for this series of events, as your tourist
dollars help the city itself regain its former glory.

WINTER PARTY
FESTIVAL

The time-honored tradition of escaping from bad weather to the white, sandy
beaches of Miami Beach for a great cause continues in 2009 when the Winter
Party Festival returns for its 16th year of pool parties, glamour, sun, and the
infamous beach party to cap it all off. Stock up on sunscreen, because nobody
will be wearing much, and catch up on your sleep because the week is packed
with mixers, pool parties and main events that will keep you busy all day and all
night.
This year, heavyweights like Henrichsen, Lehman, Gauthreaux and many more
light up the pools and clubs of South Beach to benefit the National Gay &
Lesbian Task Force as well as local South Florida organizations. Having raised
more than $1.65 million for the LGBT community at the national, state, and local
levels, this amazing festival is what the Circuit is all about.
