its 100th night, when Reflex takes over the main space to celebrate its heroic
success. A true team of superheroes awaits you as Phil B., Paulo, and Dawna
Montel throw down for this centennial celebration. RKM lend their comic book
sensibility to the décor, with Kidd Madonny stepping into a phone booth later
to change into his DJ costume. Super friends Flava, Nurse Cracker, and Jeremy
Beard are on hand to make the night shine like a power bracelet.

WHITE PARTY

The Grande Dame of Circuit Party festivals still brags confidently that it is one of
the oldest, largest, and most opulent events in the gay universe. 100% of the proceeds
go to benefit South Florida’s Care Resource, which has been working on
the front lines of the AIDS crisis for 25 years. Choosing white as their theme color
in 1985, the founders wanted this party not only to raise much-needed money to
fight AIDS, but also to symbolize purity and elegance—something not every party
can stake a claim on, to be sure. But White Party serves up elegance and much
more, turning the stunning Villa Vizcaya into a white wonderland to celebrate and
remember the victories and hardships we have seen in the last several decades.
Also scheduled for the week is a night with Joe Gauthreaux, profiled in this issue,
spinning at Apollo's White Starz at the Park West Nightclub on the 29th.
